About the Artist/NGCS Treasurer:

Tessa Day is a visual artist, musician and writer and, since June 2012, is on the NGCS Board of Directors serving as Treasurer.

After majoring in German literature and political science at Wellesley College then several years studying, working and traveling in New England, Germany and Italy, she spent two and a half years at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (SMFA) studying with Miroslav Antic, David Kelly, Doug Anderson, Carl Palazzolo, Annette Lemieux and other inspiring teachers. Over time, painting and songwriting have given way to poetry, short stories and longer works of fiction, many with an otherworldly or speculative bent.

Tessa has many years of non-profit administration experience, having worked for the World Society for the Protection of Animals for ten years, in marketing, fundraising and database management.
