Announces its 12th season:

The Season of Roving


All events at 7pm on Thursdays in Allen Hall at the Community Music Center of Boston in the South End, 34 Warren Avenue.


Children in the Park: November 3, 2011

Featuring the very theatrical Quartet of Happiness and their original music along with world premiere solo piano music by Emiko Takeuchi performed by Sarah Bob.
Featured visual artist, comic strip artist Kendall Eddy.

From playing games, wearing costumes, and engaging the audience with their Quartet of Happiness antics to Emiko Takeuchi’s musical recapturing of her youthful inner life, NGCS presents an event for every age.

Featuring visual artist Tessa Day and her magnetic drawings.

 

Program includes music by Georges Aperghis, R. Murray Schafer and a world premiere by Lior Navok with performances by soprano Jennifer Ashe, harpist Ina Zdorovetchi, violist Mark Berger, pianist Sarah Bob and percussionist Aaron Trant.

Featuring photographer Christine Collins in a world premiere collaboration with composerJohn Morrison.
Program also includes 2 world premieres by John McDonald and music by Evan Ziporyn and Christine Southworth. Performances by Primary Duo, clarinetists Eran Egozy, Rane Moore,Evan Ziporyn, violinists Charles Dimmick and Shaw Pong Liu, violist Mark Berger and cellist Katherine Kayaian.
